Sports Leaders Programme
We’re delighted to announce that Silver Birch Care is now an approved Sports Leaders Award Centre led by our Sports Coach, Sanket.
We will be launching our Sports Leaders Programme, commencing with Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership (SL1) from 30th May until 4th July 2021.
Sports Leadership qualifications are designed to use sport and physical activity to help young people develop and hone their leadership skills whilst helping themselves and others stay physically active.
Young people undertaking a qualification in Sports Leadership will learn and demonstrate valuable life and employability skills such as effective communication, confidence, and organisation whilst learning to lead basic physical activities to younger people, their peers, older generations and within the community.
Students will plan, lead and evaluate sports/physical activity sessions over a number of tutored hours, and then demonstrate their leadership skills as part of their assessment.
Upon completion of the course, students will be awarded with a Sports Leaders Award, which can be used on their CV and when applying for jobs or further/higher education.
They will then be able to progress to the Sports Leaders Level 2 or Level 3 Courses, or specific Sports Coach Qualifications.
Stay tuned for further updates!
