Silver Birch Care is the first 16+ semi-independent care provider in the UK to join The Living Wage Foundation
We are thrilled to be one of the few social care organisations to have received the Living Wage Accreditation. The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid by over 8,000 UK businesses including Silver Birch Care, as we believe our staff deserve a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work. The real Living Wage is higher than the government minimum, and we pay all our employees above this rate.
The introduction of the Living Wage Accreditation affirms our ethos of providing our employees with excellent working conditions as a necessary tool for providing exceptional support services to the young people in our care.
As a result, we have been recognised by The Mayor of London for leadership within our sector, as we strive to ensure all our employees and their families remain in a comfortable financial position in the present and beyond.
